Cumin

Cumin is native to the Levant and Upper Egypt. It now grows in most hot countries, especially India, North Africa, China, and America. Cumin has a pungent, sharp, and slightly bitter flavor. It is mainly used where highly spiced foods are preferred. In the Middle East, it is a familiar spice for fish dishes, grills and stews, and flavored couscous.
